30 Years on the charts for Garth.
30 years ago this week, a new artist from Oklahoma hit the US Country music charts for the first time, and many would argue, changed Country music forever.GARTH BROOKS went on to be, not only Country music's biggest star, but the only musical act in American music history to have 7 Diamond status albums.
He has released 22 albums in total, and has recently undertaken his 2019 Stadium tour across the US.
And Celtic Music Radio's Stewart Fenwick was there in Garth's early career. Garth hosted an English style Tea Party during CMA Awards week in Nashville for overseas media back in 1989, and Stewart was there.
To mark Garth's 30th Aniversary of hitting the charts for the first time, Celtic Music Radio listeners will get a chance to hear Stewart's 1989 interview with Garth Brooks on this Sunday's Celtic Country, together with some of the songs from his first album.
