The Prairie Star Country & Western Club will in their usual venue at Weir Soc & Rec Club, Church St, Alloa, this coming Saturday 3rd June, with ‘The Barhoppers’ who have ‘hopped’ all the way from Suffolk to entertain members on their first visit to the Wee County.
Our next Prairie Star event is on Saturday 17th June and is a wee Country Cruise heading up towards the Forth bridges, and being entertained by the aptly named ‘ Stillwater’ duo. There are about nine tickets left for this outing and they can be obtained from Dorothy on 01259 724352, or go along and pick them up on Saturday evening.

The award winning Scottish & Country entertainer Brandon McPhee brings his full show to Stirling's Albert Halls on Friday night. The Mod winning accordionist, who hosts the Caithness Music programme on the Keep It Country TV channel, features some well known musicians in his band, including Manson Grant & The Dynamos, Ireland's Crawford Bell, and steelie Davie Holland (from Dez Walters band).
Brandon also has dates this week in Langholm, Berwick & Aboyne.

Singer songwriter John Hinshelwood and his band appear this Monday night (May 8th) at Stirling Folk Club, who are resident at the city's Rugby Club.
Later in the month, the band play Strathyre Festival.

The Prairie Star Country & Western Club will be in their usual venue this coming Saturday 6th May, doors open at 7pm-11.45pm, and this month sees the long awaited return of the ‘Lorraine McMillan Band’ very popular on the Country music circuit with music to suit our dancers and listeners alike and not to be missed.
There are also a few seats left on our ‘Country Cruise’ on 17th June, when we will be entertained on board with top duo ‘Stillwater’ aptly named for the night. We leave Alloa dock at 7.30pm on the ‘Maid of the Forth’ and should return about 11.0pm, and again a good night of country music for all.
