Julie's Moon for Marie Curie

Dean Owens is one of Scotland’s finest singer songwriters, with fans including Bob Harris, Ricky Ross, Irvine Welsh and Russell Brand.  His songs including Raining in Glasgow and Man From Leith have been hailed as classics of Scottish songwriting.
His new single – Julie’s Moon – is released (via itunes, download sites) on Fri 10 Mar to coincide with Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal.  All proceeds from sales of the single will be donated to the Marie Curie charity.
In September 2015 Dean’s beloved big sister Julie finally lost her battle with cancer. She was 50. Julie was a huge supporter of her brother and his music, always encouraging him, always at his gigs. Written very shortly after her death, Julie’s Moon is one of Dean’s most personal songs, although it was a subject he would have preferred to avoid. But some songs insist on being written, and the final result is lyrically poignant but also characteristically musically memorable. It’s a searingly personal song, an ocean of the heart - a special song for a special girl and a special cause.

Willie Nelson readies new album

Willie Nelson premieres 13 stellar new songs on God's Problem Child, his 9th studio album for Legacy Recordings, available on CD, 12" vinyl and digital configurations
An album of all-new recordings, God's Problem Child adds 13 new songs to the artist's repertoire, including seven recently written by Willie and Buddy Cannon, his longtime collaborator and producer. The album is Willie's first to debut all-new songs since Band of Brothers (his 4th Legacy release) reached #1 on the Billboard Country chart and #5 on the Billboard 200 in 2014.
Willie's 7th Legacy collection, Summertime: Willie Nelson Sings Gershwin is currently in the running for a Grammy Award in the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album category. The album debuted at #1 on both the Top Current Jazz chart and the Top Traditional Jazz chart following its release in February 2016.  Nelson has won 11 Grammys over the course of his career.
God's Problem Child, available on CD, 12" vinyl LP or digitally, arrives just in time for Willie's 84th birthday (29th April).  The album's title track, penned by Jamey Johnson and Tony Joe White, includes vocals by both writers and the legendary Leon Russell (on what may be Russell's very last recording).  An old friend and musical cohort, Leon was the first person to put his signature on "Trigger," Willie's mythic guitar.
