The powers that be have dropped most of Central FM's weekend programming, in favour of non-local networked programming. That means that , after 15 years and 1,028 programmes, the station's longest running presenter, Stewart Fenwick, who presented the station's popular Country music show has been dropped. The last programme was broadcast last Sunday, October 16th, and Stewart received a telephone call the following day advising him of the immediate cancellation of the programme, which will be replaced by a Top 40 Pop chart show.
