Songwriter Guy Clark passes

Grammy award winning country singer Guy Clark has died aged 74.
Clark's health had been declining for a number of years and was most recently battling cancer. His was wife Susanna passed away from the disease in 2012. Born in Monahans, Texas in 1941 and moved to Houston in the late 60's to perform folks songs on the club circuit there.
He moved to Nashville in the early 70's where a number of other country artists, including Johnny Cash, recorded covers of his songs. In 1975 he released his debut album Old No. 1. This was the first of thirteen he would produce throughout his career. His songs were recorded by the likes of The Highwayen, Vince Gill, Steve Wariner, Emmylou Harris, Nanci Griffith and Joe Brown.
He was a member of the Nashville Songwriter's Hall of Fame. His most recent album, My Favourite Picture of You won Best Folk Album at the 2014 Grammys.
