Jackie's Dream

You may have seen recent press, and broadcast coverage of Jackie Storrar’s dying wish to record a new album.  The Fife based singer and broadcaster has bravely fought her battle with cancer, since first being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010.
The former Radio Tay, Smooth, and CMR presenter, was given the all clear, but the dreaded illness returned in late 2013. This time doctor’s have advised Jackie that the disease can’t be cured.
Jackie is well travelled, having worked for a radio station in Malta, and as singer on cruise ships for many years. She has seen many places that she wants to share, and has published a number of her photographs of exotic places, and prints are available for sale @ https://jfsphotography.wix.com/jackiestorrar.
Jackie, who was inducted into the British Country Music Hall Of Fame last October,   has previously released two albums, “Somewhere Between” and “Across The Border”, has recently revealed her desire to record a final album, whilst she is still able.
To fund the album, a friend, Stuart Prentice, set up a Crowdfunding campaign to raise the £10,000 that it takes to record and produce a CD. All money raised from the album will be donated to Maggie’s Centre, in Fife, which obviously is close to the singer’s heart. She cites the Centre as being an “enormous support” to both herself, and husband Steve, who has supported her throughout.
Jackie has continued to live life to the full, and has inspired many by doing so.
Now, the recording of this album, is her latest goal.
Jackie turns 50 on February 13th. Let’s give her an early birthday present, by making her dream come true. You can support Jackie, and Maggies in Fife, by donating at
