Garth in Dublin doubt

Garth Brook's 5 night stand at Dublin's Croke Park is in doubt. The Country superstar announced he would launch his world tour with two nights in the Irish capital. Tickets sold so fast, that another show was added, and another, and another. A total of 5 shows have sold out. But tickets sold so fast, the additional shows had not been approved by city planners.  Local residents raised their concerns several months back, and now just three weeks prior to the shows, the city has approved only three of the concerts.  Garth has issued an ultimatum - it's 5 shows or none at all. Currently it's stalemate, and fans with tickets, who have already paid for flights from all over Europe and even the USA, are in limbo.
Garth is due to make an announcement on the rest of his world tour on Monday.
It's not the first time an Irish promoter has sold tickets for events that weren't fixed up. Vince Gill , Lorrie Morgan and Stella Parton have all been advertised fot festivals they had not signed up for.
