Scots born Johnny Reid is Canada's favourite

For the second year, Lanarkshire born Johnny Reid was voted the Fans Choice at the Canadian Country Music Awards. Johnny, whose latest single , "Today I'm Gonna Try And Change the World" features the bagpipes, also had the biggest selling Canadian Country album for the second consecutive year, and was awarded Single and Songwriter of the year accolades as well.
But it wasn't all Johnny. Albertan Gord Bamford won 3 awards, and Victoria Banks , who shared the songwriting award with Reid, won Female Vocalist.

Album of the Year: Gord Bamford, "Day Job"
Single of the Year: Johnny Reid, "Dance With Me"
CMT Video of the Year: Gord Bamford, "Day Job"
Group/Duo of the Year: Doc Walker
Rising Star of the Year: One More Girl
Fans' Choice Award: Johnny Reid
Songwriters of the Year: Victoria Banks, Johnny Reid, Tia Sellers for "Dance With Me"
Roots Artist/Group of the Year: Corb Lund
Top Selling Canadian album : Johnny Reid, "Dance With Me"
