JOHNNY REID SCORES FIVE FOR TARTAN ARMY

Johnny Reid, the Lanark born singer, took home no less that five awards at this year’s Canadian Country Music Awards , presented in Vancouver last night. His wins included including Album of the year for his CD "Dance With Me",the fan voted Entertainer Of The Year Award, Male artist of the year, video of the year and songwriter of the year for "A Woman Like You."
Other winners included Doc Walker, last year's big winner, who won again in the group of the year category; Crystal Shawanda collected female vocalist of the year;
Newfoundland starlet Tara Oram, won the rising star award ; Dean Brody, who grew up in tiny Jaffray, B.C., took home single of the year for his track, "Brothers" and Corb Lund and his Hurtin' Albertans took the award for roots artist or group of the year.
