International Ambassadors named

The International Country Music Day Organization has named The AristoMedia Group President Jeff Walker and singer, songwriter and producer Gail Davies as the 2009 International Country Music Ambassadors.
Jeff Walker is the president of The AristoMedia Group, a Nashville-based company that offers a full range of marketing services to the Music Industry.He moved to the United States from Sydney, Australia in 1974. He currently serves on the Country Music Association, Country Radio Broadcasters and The Recording Academy (NARAS) and is a past Board member of the Canadian Country Music Association and the Australian based Contemporary Country Music Coalition.
Gail Davies is often cited as the first female record producer in country music and has enjoyed a prolific and successful career as both an artist and a producer.
Two extensive interviews with this year's International Country Music Ambassadors will be published on the website of the International Country Music Day Organization, www.icmday.org, this week.
The International Country Music Day is held on September 17 every year, commemorating the birth of Hank Williams.
The International Country Music Day was created in 2003 by the Country Music Association of Spain in order to bring together all artists, musicians, and country music fans all over the world, as well as to promote music worldwide. Since then, many associations have embraced it and joined this non profit organization, including country2.com (Argentina), Country CD (France - fomerly FACM), the Country Music Association of Uruguay (AMCU), the Country Music Association of Greece and numerous artists, groups, radio stations, websites, and fans throughout the world.
