Mel on the mend

Grand Ole Opry member Mel McDaniel has been moved from a hospital to a rehabilitation centre after suffering a heart attack last month, He will undergo further treatment and hopes to return home soon.
The 66-year-old singer had a run of hits in the 1980s that included "Baby's Got Her Blue Jeans On," Stand Up" and "Louisiana Saturday Night.""
A native of Checotah, Okla., McDaniel sang for oil field workers in Alaska in the 1970s before becoming successful in Nashville.
Besides his solo hits, he's also written songs recorded by Kenny Rogers, Conway Twitty and Earl Scruggs.
McDaniel has been a regular on the Grand Ole Opry since 1986.
A benefit concert will be held at The Nashville Palace on August 13th.
