ACM Awards were hard to bare

Kenny Chesney won Entertainer of the Year for the fourth straight time at Sunday's U.S. Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas. With the win, Chesney ties Garth Brooks and is only one win behind the legendary country group "Alabama" which won five of the top awards in row.
Brad Paisley took the award for Top Male Vocalist, his second in a row. Carrie Underwood won the Top Female Vocalist prize, also her second straight.
However the live TV special was dogged by problems. It was evident during several of the performances, that the artists couldn't hear the band. Neither could viewers. Many of the singers vocals sounded very poor. The best performance was the tribute to Eddy Arnold, by Brad Paisley on guitar and Carrie Underwood singing "Make The World Go Away".
Garth Brooks miised his cue for "The Thunder Rolls" during of a medley of his hits, then thanked Miss Yearwood for presenting his Lifetime Achievement award, when it was actually Reba!
Other performances, had very little Country content, including Taylor Swift's spectacular strip off from hoodie to wet dress (as in wet t-shirt) show.

Comments:
First of all, Stewart, the title should read:

"ACM Awards were hard to BEAR"

I have to differ with you on the highlight of the show, at least it was for me, and that was Keith Urban's performance on the floor WITH the audience. He showed such enthusiasm and sheer joy in that performance! Keith always brings something exciting and special when he performs on the award shows.
