Opry's Waterloo
A federal judge has allowed 75-year-old country singer Stonewall Jackson to sue the Grand Ole Opry for age discrimination, breach of contract and retaliation. He filed a lawsuit against Gaylord Entertainment and the Opry's general manager in January, seeking $10 million in compensatory damages and $10 million in punitive damages. Gaylord had stated that Jackson, who joined the Opry in 1956, was not an employee of the Opry. His hits include "Waterloo" and "B.J. the D.J."
